Biography

I am an Electrical Engineer, graduate of the Polytechnic School of the University of Patras. I hold an MSc in Environmental Design and Engineering from UCL in London. I have been a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece since 2011, hold a Class B contractor’s licence, and have been a Chartered Engineer and member of the UK Engineering Council through CIBSE (MCIBSE CEng) since 2016.

I have held leadership roles in major engineering consultancy and main contracting companies, contributing to both the design and construction of landmark projects in the UK (Paddington Square, London Bridge Station, Crossrail) and Greece (Athens Metro Line 4, Integrated Resort Complex Ellinikon). I worked in London for about a decade and returned to Athens in 2022.

At techne., I am responsible for the Electromechanical (M&E) works and play an active role in the company’s organization and management.

  • Engineer Head of Electrical Power Systems IRCE Podium — TERNA S.A.
  • Integrated Resort Complex Ellinikon Value 1.2 billion €
  • Led the electrical systems design and project management for the Podium Building, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and providing subject-matter expertise for all electrical works
  • Oversaw construction of a large-scale resort facility including underground parking, casino, restaurants, ballroom, spa, live music stage, and multiple swimming pools (>20,000 m²)
2022-2025
  • Engineer Head of Electrical Power Systems — AVAX S.A.
  • Athens Metro Line 4 Value 1.5 billion €
  • Working as part of the main Contractor's team overseeing the M&E design and construction of section A of the Athens metro line 4 project involving the design and construction of 15 new stations, 9 shaft buildings, a new operations and control center, a train maintenance building and approximately 13km of tunnels
  • Providing subject matter expert (SME) advice in design team, interface and technical meetings and ensuring multidisciplinary co-ordination, buildability and value engineering solutions prior to client submission/approval.
  • Managing subcontractors on site ensuring smooth execution and developing project strategies, work plans, and schedules to meet contractual deadlines.
2020-2022
  • Technical Discipline Lead for Electrical Works — High Speed 2 (HS2), London
  • Worked client side as part of HS2’s Chief Engineers Group (CEG) and provided technical expertise and advice for the route wide M&E systems associated with 35 Shaft and Portal Buildings, 50km of tunnels and open route
  • Developed standards and requirements for the M&E discipline and ensured that the design and construction met project requirements while the health and safety risks were ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practical).
  • Engaged with the main Contractors to resolve issues, managed change requests, departures and technical queries in accordance with HS2 Governance and managed interfaces between M&E systems and other infrastructure systems including those operated by other railway operators and utility companies.
2013-2020
  • MEP Technical Lead — WSP, London
  • Managed a team of ten MEP engineers and BIM modelers and delivered the concept and detailed designs while ensured the MEP proposals were coordinated between the different disciplines and developed in accordance with the applicable European and British standards.
  • Responsible for the delivery of the MEP design and ensured that the design and construction met project requirements. Attended site to review design implementation and witnessed testing and commissioning.
  • Provided client and stakeholder engagement and developed proposals that met client requirements.
